We service all Brands and Types of Dock Levelers, Truck Restraints, and Edge of Dock Levelers.
The more you know about your Dock Leveler, the better we can serve you.
Dock Levelers are classified by their lift mechanism:
Mechanical: Operated by a pull chain. Lift is attained by a number of large springs, with a “holdown” controlling the position of the leveler. The “lip” or front flap is controlled by a series of chains, shocks, and/or bars. Each manufacturer has different mechanisms for operation of the dock leveler.
Hydraulic: Operated by a push button and powered by a hydraulic motorpump. The main hydraulic cylinder lifts and positions the leveler. The lip hydraulic cylinder controls the “lip” or front flap of the leveler. Some manufacturers use only a main cylinder and a mechanically operated “lip.”
Airbag. Operated by a push button and powered by a fan. The airbag fills with air, lifting the dock leveler. As the airbag deflates, the dock leveler lowers. The lip is controlled by a series of chains, shocks, and/or bars similar to mechanically operated dock levelers.
Our Expertise
Dock Leveler Repair and New Installation
When one of your loading docks is shut down, you are losing access to your vendors and customer. You cannot receive your raw materials and inventory, nor can you ship out your orders. This loss in productivity costs you time, money, and reputation. We understand how important the loading dock is to businesses.
We can diagnose the issue, estimate the cost, and repair your equipment typically within the same day. Estimates will never cost you anything. If we exhaust all options and determine we cannot fix the issue, we will quote you a new leveler.
Truck Restraint Repair and New Installation
Truck restraints have replaced wheel chocks tenfold for their safety and efficiency. "Trailer creep" is the most dangerous thing that can happen to a forklift driver driving from the trailer to the loading dock. Truck restraints save lives and save money on costly workplace accidents. If your restraint is not working properly, your loading dock should be shut down until repaired.
As with dock levelers, we can diagnose the issue, estimate the cost, and repair your equipment typically within the same day. Estimates will never cost you anything. If we determine we cannot fix the issue, we will offer replacement options and a list of our competitors, so you can decide the best option for you.
Loading Dock Service and Preventative Maintenance
Prevent a costly loading dock shutdown by having us perform preventative maintenance on your equipment. We can determine if a component is going bad before your equipment becomes non-functional. We can also make your current components last longer with proper adjustment and lubrication. We will provide a maintenance report including expected future repairs and parts costs so you can budget accordingly.
